It's SO exciting to actually read something new from someone! Even short posts from people make me so excited, cause I like you people. A lot. And you people make me happy!
I went to see a noon hour concert today with Taja, Micah and their friends Evie and Elijah.
Just going to that church, for ANY reason, brings back SO many memories of all the Tuesdays we spent there as kids :) We were totally epic. How many other kids can say that they actually went to classical music concerts every single week... only the AWESOME ONES!!! haha.
It was REALLY good! My flute teacher was playing with her trio. I LOVE the way flute, piano and cello sound together.
So amazing!
I'm trying to make a trio happen with two of my friends from choir. We're planning on putting something together for the coffee house in April... we'll see if we actually get something together :)
I'm SO excited for Jane Eyre!!!!! I really just want to audition and be awesome... I suck at auditioning, but this one should be good. I'm really comfortable with the entire panel(or at least the people who I know will be there) so it should go well. And I actually am IN LOVE with the song I'm singing for it.
It feels AMAZING on my voice. It just clicks so well, and yeah. I love the words and the thought behind it, and the character, and the music, and the show, and basically it's just incredible!
It's called The Fire Within Me, and it's from Little Women. I remember the girl who played Jo singing it when I was in Little Women, and she was amazing. She left some pretty big shoes to fill for that song... but then again Sutton Foster left even bigger shoes when she originated the role and everything that those Broadway people do...
It's such and everything song.
It's got a great range, and exciting climax, and Jo goes through a entire process of grief through it... and you see her learning about herself, and about life and loss.
I could go on forever and ever about it(WAY longer than I already have :P).
The other thing that's really cool about it, is that it's SO Jane Eyre. It's the same musical style, same vocal range, and Jo March is basically the non-orphaned version of Jane Eyre.
They are both SO passionate, but at the same time equally self-doubting...
Yeah. Like I said, I could go on and on :P
I started reading Dead Water Zone by Kenneth Oppel last night. It's SO good!!!!
I'm actually LOVING it and totally devouring the entire thing :)
One last thing... if any of you find yourself in need of something to do next Tuesday from 3:30-4:30... sign up for the library's teen "Zombie Plushie" program. lol. I'll be there!
It's at the market... so I vote you come if you can, and then we can hang out before/after!!!!!
PLEASE :D
