a week in October...

Wow, I cannot believe this random October break is over... :(

Monika's birthday partyyyyy!!!! SO much fun, and I wanna play Dutch Blitz nowwwww! I lurv birthday parties :D
My bro decided last minute that he wanted to see "Spamalot" at the Centre in the Square, so we got eyeGO tickets <3 I love going to see shows with him, and I think he really enjoyed the show too.
Relived our Tuesday noon hour concert get-togethers with Rachel...haha, complete with a walk in the little park (we almost played 'orphans'!) and a yummy chocolate bar...good choice Rachel! haha, that poor chocolate bar went through some trauma...good thing we finished it off quickly, didn't prolong its suffering :P
Saw my brother's volleyball game - aw, he's so good <3 I lurv my bro's skillz...haha, thank goodness SOMEONE in our house can hit a ball! I'm a goner I'm afraid...
Ye's!!!! SO fun! I just wish Katlin had been there too...we have to go again...I'm hooked. I love your newly finished room Rachel, such a nice job - well done. And it was so nice to see your siblings again too...CHOIR!!! haha, I miss it SOOO much - it brought back so many memories :)
Played the piano a bunch this week...finally. I'm working on Chopin pieces right now...I love Chopin!
I got to visit CSD!!! HOORAY :) :) :) I missed it SO much, and they have a lovely new location - four big studios!! They did SUCH a nice job decorating it...awww, I even got to take class there with Tara Butler - a Ballet Jorgen dancer...she's wonderful! I also got to see them perform at the Conrad Centre, "Ballet in the Studio" :) it was super nice to see them again, and I got to talk to a few company members afterwards <3 they are AWESOME!
Yesterday the MAMA Qs came over, piano quartet, for a much belated get-together. I baked an apple crisp...yummmmm :) and we had tea, of course!
Today we celebrated my mom's birthday with a lunch at our favourite Chinese restaurant....it's SO good :) THen I spent the rest of my day getting last minute things done, and I got my dad to help me put up shelves and artwork that had been lying around for a while...glad that's done.
Wellll, this coming week is sure to be busy, donor dinner, remembrance day prep, student council work, and the usual assignments and such...
It was SO nice to see you girls again, I already miss you...I hope you had fun last night :)

woot woot, I just finished watching an episode of Happy Days :) :) :) I lurv watching oldies on my comp with my bro...plus, he has a leather jacket too ;) ha, who knows? I might accidentally mistake him for the fonz one of these days...yeah, not gonna happen. My bro's legs are too long :P
okay, enough fooling. You probably don't know what I'm talking about...
yay, I've played the piano a bunch this week - finally, I missed it. Haha, Rachel, I went to get groceries from the same store as yesterday, and someone else had knocked over the chocolate :D majorly funny for me, and AWKward for everyone else...made it seem like I was overly social or something. Anyhow, it's cool with me. I only come in on my breaks, often enough to keep up my awkwardness. I'm not doing too badly actually...
yup, we definitely need an orphans reunion. I miss quilting maple leaves together with pine needles...coincidentally I'm cold too. But that's beside the point. No, I am cold...brrrrrr!
We have this honkin' big pile of wood outside, and we dong flarbin' can't light a fire cause the woodstove pipe is too sooty. shucksos. too bad the fonz ain't here, he'd fix it up good...

Monika's party was a blast! I'm so glad that we were all able to hang out at last!!!!


Whenever Maya has a time off it makes me so happy!!
I bike over to her house today, and it started raining on me! And I kind of got lost like I always do when I bike to her place.
I mean, I ALWAYS go the same way, but some how I always end up lost... somehow.
We went to the noon hour concert today(remember those things?). It brought back so many memorises of eating our lunches in the front row every week.
Maya and I even headed over to the 'park' across the street after too :)
I miss playing orphans by the fountain.




We also bought some groceries for Eva. I remember running errands for her when we were little to :)
And we kind of bought ourselves some chocolate too... and me, with my exceptional poise and grace was able to knock nearly every other bar of chocolate off the shelves too.


I just finished working on some math, and I should probably do some more so I can stay on top of everything... but I'm not feeling very motivated at the moment, so we'll see what becomes of that.


I really want to start my NaNoWriMo novel, but it's not november yet!
I don't even really have a plot yet, but I want to get started just the same. I'm excited, and nervous, cause more people know I'm doing it this year, so if I fail... more people will know.
I'm planning on going to the kick-off party on sunday, I'm actually really interested in seeing what kind of people take part in this kind of crazy thing.
It'll be nice cause I actually know some one (remotely) my age whose doing it this year. So it'll be fun to have someone who understands where I am.

Well, life certainly has been chaotic lately.
Although this weekend looks to be AMAZING:D
Heres my schedule for tomorrow: market w/ the fam, baking muffins, homework (ew), coaching kindergym:), getting ready for MO's, then PARTY!!!
I gotta confess... I thought you were turning 19. I have no idea why. Lol, then after I told a bunch of people it was a 19th party, I realised it wasn't. And was extremely mortified that I forgot how old you are:P
My brain has been messing with me...
Last night I had this REALLY weird dream. I was late to get to coaching, which was making me very, very mad. And my dad took the longest way possible to get there, because of construction. So I was pissed. AND we had to stop for food, making me even MORE late. While we were stopped I saw Emily, and I freaked at her for not being already at the gym... So I slapped her across the face as hard as I could. Haha, and later when I woke up I didn't know if it was real or not.
My violent streak is showing itself... :P

no time to think about titles. period.

well that was a blarf of a day. Truly uninspirational, taxing in every way, and way, way too long. I've seriously been on the tail end of my existence for about a week, and I'm running on adrenaline and arrowroot cookies at the mo. Yup, I never had arrowroots in my childhood, major miss-out, and now you can thank them for me being able to write to you now.
I'm coming home tomorrow...I'M COMING HOME TOMORROWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am honestly drowning right now, I hope the water won't get any higher before tomorrow...
It seems like such a short time to wait for home, but so much has to fit in between now and then...an entire English essay, draft work, plans, references, and the darned thing itself are due tomorrow. Major, major math test, for which I need to study - I'm feeling helpless, really. Biology presentation, and question sheets in Chemistry, Biology and Math due tomorrow.
Yup, basically that means 'see ya'...

Golden moments&leaves

I loveeeee having no class friday afternoons :D
it makes my awfully boring morning class worth sitting through :P.
Soooooo, this week has been sufficiently WICKED :P. Tuesday's soccer game was a bit tooooo fun, and about 8 of us went to Crabby's afterwards, at 11pm haha.
Sooo, it's pretty clear that i'm "one of the boys" in soccer lol. I don't mind being part of the brotherhood :) i wouldn't have it any other way. Buhhhh, apparently some girls are "in love" with some of my brothers -_- as long as they don't try to use me as a connection i'm cool lol. Just really, don't use the word love when you've just started talking to the person. HAVE SOME SELF-RESPECT!!! ahahaha, jk :P
This weekend looks lovelyyy, except for Sunday= work, but i never expect that to be exactly enjoyable.
Last night i took out the girls to bubbletea :) YUMM, i haven't had bubbletea for about 2 weeks which is so WRONG haha. My birthday is Monday, i guess i'm looking forward to it- to be honest i haven't spent much time anticipating it.It's going to be a lovely memorable day is all i know :)<3

tonight i am playing soccer with Andy :). We played Wednesday too, and i hurt my right foot out of stubbornness-_-. I went against his advice and tried to shoot hard with my right foot instead of my left. I admit the injury serves me right lol :P.

I visited mum today, it's weird- i'm not sure how to describe our relationship right now lol. Not like we're having problems or anything at all, it's just,i'm not living under her any more. It's kind of funny- the world tells you how hard it's going to be without parents, but it's really not hard for me at all. I guess i was pretty ready for the step, but still- not to sound cold-blooded- but i don't miss much from home.I don't even really feel like going back to high school much. I guess i do sometimes, i definitely look back with laughter at last year, but i'm enjoying where i am so much that i honestly wouldn't trade it in.

some ramblings from my crazy life

It's been a while since I've been on the blog, life has been crazy... But I'll try and give you a decent update now:)
At this exact moment, I'm avoiding studying for a math test, eating pizza in bed, writing here and listening to Bruno Mars (Just the way you are). Decent night if you ask me:P
School has been so busy lately... Physics test, C&C presentation, math tests, physics presentation, history club started, I went to my first Free the Children meeting... the list goes on and on. Fitting in homework and gym on top of that is almost impossible. Oh, and I signed up to be an achademic tudor for math. Just one more thing for lunchtime lol...
Despite the insaneness of life though, school is pretty good. History Club is gonna be EPIC :D We're looking at psychopaths and power, starting with corporations. So, if you took... lets say Coca Cola and sat them down for an interview as if they were a single being instead of a huge industry, would they qualify as a psychopath? How do they compare to someone like, lets say... Charles Manson? But you can't put a corporation in jail or a mental institution, because it ISN'T a person. Its THOUANDS of people. And did the individuals really do anything wrong?
Freaky stuff to think about... if you don't get what I've been rambling about, don't worry about it lol. Just drop in one Thursday, 11:00-11:50am. Mr. Mayot probably does a better job of explaining than I do.
Anyways, enough about that. How about... math class.
UGH, its driving me insane. Grade 12 math you'd expect to be hard, right? WRONG. So far, I'm bored out of my mind!! We're doing stuff from grade NINE. Slope. With more complicated numbers/equations. But still. I feel like that class is making me dumber, not smarter. And weirdly enough, I feel like I do better when math actually CHALLENGES me. Like I want to prove everyone wrong, and GET IT when no one else does. Which is not happening this year:S
Oh, on a completely different topic.. on Sunday Penny and I went to see the movie Easy A. It was sooooo funny! I would highly recommend it if you need a laugh, or just a cute, fun movie. Just don't try and explain what it's about to your parents. It won't work lol. The movie is completely innocent and actually has a good message, but somehow that doesn't come across just hearing about the plot haha. Like Juno. Sort of. Not really lol. ...Just watch it:)

wallet adventure(squared)

This is crazy!
I lost my wallet yesterday too!
What are the odds that that would happen to both of us on the same day.

The difference between our misplaced money holders is that I didn't notice mine was gone, and it had money in it. Enough money to make me really nervous :S

I went to get my haircut and I guess my wallet just wanted to hang around a bit longer.
We stopped by a friends house and when we got home dad was like "did you go back to the hair place, you left your wallet there".
Then I got kind of worried, so we rushed back and they were ALL CLOSED UP!

Thankfully there was someone there waiting for a ride and she had a key.
She made me describe my wallet and I was like...
"Umm... blue... and it has a superman thing on it..."
and she was like, "Yup, I'll go get it."

lol. hooray for unique items.

We're blocking my scene today, and working on some fight choreography, I'm pretty stoked about that!

lol. Maya and Savannah have dance choreography so they look elegant and graceful. I have fight choreo so that I look manly and don't die(looking awesome is also one of the goals... but not dying is a priority at the moment)

Oh what a Wallet adventure

Rachel, ill help you with the man thing :P ahahahaha what a joke.
So, to explain the wallet dilemna- i lost my wallet yesterday in the downtown city core. i was so mad at myself lol. i was downtown buying commencement tickets from highschool and we went to the good old pupusa place for lunch and then walked around the neighbourhood where my wallet fell out of my bag. I didn't realize until we got back to the school. It was a horrible realization lol. Andy didn't believe me, i didn't even believe myself :p. I didnt have any money in there (obviously, i'm a student haha), just my whole damn identity was lost for two hours of my life aha.I was determined to not break down and panic but i just kept repeating, "ok, Andy, how do i fix this?howwwwww do i solve this problem?" We backtracked everywhere and no luck,so i called my mama to cancel credit card and all that goodness. THEN, an hour after i called my mom, she texted me that someone picked up my wallet and called the school because of my student card. I didnt even believe it lol. I literally got the message as i was in the parking lot to go to the mall with Amanda and Kim. so yeah, Andy and i went to the person's address after i called her and picked up my wallet :)

great day, seeing some familiar faces at the school,and enjoying an autumn afternoon house-gazing with Andy. Lol Rachel knows how much i love gazing at houses, finding weird features, especially in older downtown neighbourhoods :P i admit the lame interest that i have haha. Great day, that Lady found my wallet, oh man- what are the odds?
Also played a bit of one on one soccer lol, always enjoyable:P bet u didnt know im a left-footy. something that's "SO SICK!:D" apparently aha.
Went back to rez, and had volleyball tryouts, yes my arms are slightly bruised now. Soccer rules vball haha.
Went to sleep at 4:30 a.m. no im not joking or exaggerating.
3.5 hours of sleep doesnt feel too shabby....yet ;P
Oh and, My wallet smells like weed now ahahahahaha<3

Boot Camp

I enjoy how now that our schedules are all going at full tilt, our blog posts are getting consistently shorter.

At least we're still making an effort, and I love reading whatever you post. No matter how short or inconsequential it may be.


I had a R+J bootcamp this evening. It was quite different from boot camp that I had for As You Like It last year.
For that we basically just worked through the script and how we were going to say it, and learning what it all meant. Tonight was most physicality stuff. Apparently I'm not manly enough... I'll have to work on that.

I was told that "playing a male with add another ball to the mix... no pun intended".
And I was also told to go to the mall on Saturdays and watch teenage boys, but not be too creepy about it.
Yeah. Hooray for homework.

I'll just have to keep saying my mantra every time I go for rehearsal and when I get up on that stage.
man time.man time.man time.man time.man time.

Hopefully I'll be able to 'get my man on'. And it would be nice if it started to come a bit more naturally.

The basement reno is coming to an end! I'm at the stage where I have to start picking my wall colours so that we can get it all painted as soon as the flooring is all in place.
The funny thing is I've actually come to not mind sleeping in the living room. It might be kind of weird to be in the basement, away from everyone, and have a wall AND a door.

I don't know if I can handle all of this!
But I'll try my hardest ;)

the saturday of insanity

So yesterday was totally crazy.
I had glee rehearsal in the morning and then 3 things at the exact same time in the afternoon.
Somehow it worked out.
I was able to be at my opera rehearsal from 12-1pm then I booked it to the wedding for 1:30... but they weren't that organized so insted of starting at 2 as planned, they started after 2:20 and it was all over by 3:00.
Then I rushed back and went to a R+J sword debreifing until 6.

Crazy. But I survived.

I got paid for singing at the wedding! Like legit.
I sang 1 song and they gave me $50! Not bad it I do say so myself.
Yesterday will go down in history as the first time I got paid to sing. I'm actually really happy about that :)

Today I have another opera rehearsal, and I have to get there a bit earlier so I can do some catching up since I missed so much yesterday.

I GOT PAID TO SING!

just a random ol' day.

yup. It's October 1st, just in case you hadn't noticed. ;) I'm trying to be helpful, really I am.
Well, apart from the hiccup into the tenth month of 2010, not much is up. Actually, I blooped, everything is up. Except me right now, I'm pretty zonked. But homework is crazy right now, student council activities are even more frazzled, and life is pretty exhausting at ze moment.
I'm working on a project for history of art right now, it's a collage depicting the style of an environment we'd like to live in. Oh, and I realized I prefer the spelling "styll" to "style." It's much more expressive, and, well, I like it's style. ;)
I dunno about you, but my brain blew with that sentence. So, tomorow is Nuit Blanche!!!!! SOOOO COOOOL :D
It's basically a 12hour, Toronto-wide arts fest. 130+ exhibitions I believe, and a whole bunch of dance ones included in there!! I am really pumped to see it...I wish you girls could be here, it would be epic beyond belief to see it with you. We NEEEEED to get together soon...I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm dying to see you.
I hope you're having a good first day of October...it really feels like fall all of a sudden. And the air had a certain hint of suspicion about it today...brrrrrr. RAWR
