frogs and faceplanting

I think- cement loves me. there i am biking up to Andy and the second i say "hey"BOOM, there i am embracing the concrete with hands and knees. there wasn't even a pothole. least it was an adrenaline rush...? So after assuring him that i was in fact ok off we went into the world of aggressive vehicles who don't realize biking lanes exist.
I guess i should write about the crazyyy conservation area we frolicked in. The original plan was to fish, but grasping a frog while it kicks its legs against your hands is just sooooo much more invigorating!! theres just something about crouching and staring down a frog while it stares back at you...:P
These outings are the exact reason that summer shouldn't end.
Maybe its possible to spend time doing what we want to do.. instead of what we have to do, all year round.. do you think?
Either way, there's still time to do....whatever we feel like doing.

hello, blog world

So I'm not completely sure how this whole blog entry thing is supposed to go, but I'm gonna try it out:) Let me know if I have the right idea!
I just got out of my cold bath, as Maya told me about. It's kinda brilliant. I don't know who told you about them, or if you just decided to try it one day, but THANK YOU. Gym is like this giant torcher chamber that's out to kill me on my first day back. Fun...
I guess I should put a little bit about my holidays in here, since that's more interesting than the same old about gym!
Manitoba... ahhh I miss it. Clear Lake is the most beautiful cottage, I wish it were closer than a 2 hour plane ride away:( Haha, while I was there I watched my first Horror/Thriller movie. Umm, it was... STUPID. Not scary. Ridiculous actually. "Your mom says turn it DOWN!" (sorry inside joke). We also made our own movie (well more like TV show), the Batchelorette. I was the lucky girl, and everyone else was the guys I got to choose from. We had the Stud, the Gay Guy, the Angry Alcoholic, the "definition of awkward", and the Free-Spirited Romantic. Then I got to go on dates with them and they met my "parents" (Laurel and Lucas) and stuff. After it was done, Keely and Fin (little cousins) wanted to watch it over and over again. It was kinda epic:)
Long Point... Well, I mostly tanned on the beach, swam, read, played cards with Derek and Krista, and ate a lot of junk food. It was so relaxing. It's been a while since I just let go and really stopped caring about anything in the "real" world. I just lived in the moment. It was great:)
Anyways, I'm off to read Half Brother, Kenneth Oppel's new book. Yay!

New Beginnings...

We have gone through so many new beginnings and adventures together, this is just another undertaking we're about to embark on.
I'm excited to be starting a new year with you girls. We are all on our own roads, but our history will be forever shared.

This summer was crazy, everyone off, living their own lives. We had a few opportunities to be all together as a whole, but other than that we didn't get much of a chance to see each other. In between our times away we had enough great shopping trips, dinner parties, homemade waterslide escapades, bonfires and camp outs to last us until we meet again.

Lets stay connected and make this year rock!

To Now and Forever.
To Us.
