Summer Lovin'

This past week was SO amazing <3
Port Elgin was beatiful!
I wish I could spend everyday reading and sleeping in the sand, then splashing in the clear water.

We went swimming EVERYDAY! It was a good 6 days.
I hope we will continue being able to go again for at least one more year...(I think I say that every year...).
I read SOOOOO much! lol.
Book 2+3 of HP and a crazy weird book called Bumped(so weird, but I liked it... because it was weird). Basically the concept of Bumped is that a virus has made it so that only people under 18 can reproduce... and who ever can, does it for money. So weird, twisted, and controvercial, but good!

Today I read the play to the group of kids who will be performing it in the fall. It should be good. lol.
It's weird teaching kids music that you made up yourself... especially when you don't know it very well yet yourself(and I wasn't smart enough to write anything out of make notes or anything...)
Oh well.
Should be good :)

Also.
Maya: reading all of your comments on my blog made my day! ( found them today, and I couldn't help but grin)
:D I can't wait to see you girly!!!!!!!

middle of summer

I've pretty much gotten my head fully into summer mode. It's awesome :)

I spent the ENTIRE weekend with Savannah, and it was fantastic. We went to Elora with Nesh on Sunday, and floated out in the middle of the quarry and just talked all afternoon. It was really nice :) Then it was Savannah's birthday, and we ate DELICIOUS crepes and we went to Maya's (with no Maya there :( ) for a swim with Nesh and Chris. That was fun too! Except for the lack of Maya-ness. But that will change soon :D
Weird how I've seen your brother more than you so far this summer... Lol. Don't worry though, that'll change as of TOMORROW when you get home!!!! *super excited face*

Monday was climbing, and catching up with Joy for a bit <3 She's as boy crazy as ever, but it was good to see her. I've missed that girl a lot.

Tuesday I started reading Beauty Queens. Which so far is like my new favouritest book ever. I haven't laughed this hard since I read An Abundance of Katherines. Except this one is funny but about really serious issues. And really feminist. And really awesome.
I LOVE LIBBA BRAY!

Also Tuesday, Alex picked me up and we went to Josh's to chill and play Rockband. SO. MUCH. FUN. They're so easy to be myself around <3 I've realised that Josh is so ridiculously awesome. In terms of personality, he'd score a ten hands down. Nice, confident, funny, enthusiastic, sweetheart, AWESOME. And so gentlemanly! He always opens my car door for me, which is so sweet:) And Alex does all these little things that actually matter, like double checking all my knots before I climb and waiting until I get inside safe before driving away and always looking out for me :)

Wednesday I hung out with Alex (from FTC) after he was done work. We went to buy food for Friday (s'mores stuff, popcorn, freezies, cups) and then just walked around a lot lol. He bought me a Froster and we sat by a pond and watched the turtles. It was cute :)
Then we walked to his friend Warren's house and dragged him away from a super nerdy computer project to have a water balloon fight. After a bit I texted Meagan and she came too, and we ate popsicles tossed balloons at each other until we were soaked.
I had a good time, but my feet hurt from walking so much lol.

Then today I went to Goodlife and then work... And thats it for my week :)

a taste of the future

So I'm pretty much living on my own this week.
Cooking my own food. Getting myself everywhere. Buying stuff I need. Cleaning the house :(
I could seriously get used to having my own place. SO MUCH FREEDOM <3

This week has been spontaneous and good :) I didn't have any plans made ahead of time, and every day I wake up and I'm like ugh what am I going to do today. But it's all worked out nicely:)
Monday I watched Desperate Housewives all morning :P Then coached and rock climbed :D Highlight of my week probably, I actually love those nights so much <3
Then Tuesday I used my gym membership, and then cooked lunch for Rachel (pasta and pesto). So we hung out for a bit and then I went to work and it was SO HOT in the gym. But I had a good bonding moment with Dan when he showed me the new twisting drill and got me to try it. I missed gym so much in that moment...
Today MO is coming over :D
AND I used my gym membership again. Go me! :P
And tonight I might hang out with Alex. Idk. I hate when you don't know if you have plans with someone or not because they're so vague... Blah. Whatever though, I'm sure it'll work out. Or if not, he'll owe me for next time :P
Anyways, I should go brush my hair before Monika gets here...

melting

It's so hot right now, and I'm just kind of unimpressed by stuff. And if you were to ask me why and at what... I don't think I could really pin point it at this point.
lol. And I have a feeling I know what that means ;)
And if not, I'm just a terrible person all the time :P

Yesterday I babysat for like 6 hours. Someones Else's kids for a change, and I actually got paid(another change)!
$50 in an afternoon of drawing, playing at the park and watching a movie isn't bad at all.
(Katlin: Three guesses which musical they went to see while I was babysitting)
 ;)
I really need an actually job. Cause yeah. Money in general is just good.

On the note of money, my parents have finally realized that I need a flute and it's stupid to buy a flute locally for like $400 more than if we bought it on ebay.
Basically they are just terrified of technology and the fact that there are added border fees and no returns freaks them out.
But I trust my flute teacher. She buys flutes online ALL the time, and if she says its good and she trusts it, I'm not going to question.
It'll be SOOO nice to play on an instrument that actually likes being played, and will actually respond musically.

I WANT TO READ THE SECOND HARRY POTTER BOOK ALREADY!
I just finished the first, and now I have to wait until the book is ready on the holdshelf :(
I don't know. I just feel like this is the summer to re-read all the books if there ever was one.
If anyone is feeling rich and wants to buy the whole series for me(books AND movies) I would be totally game ;)

I'm SUPER STOKED for Jane Eyre. I have extra narration parts now too, which will be nice.
There are supposed to be 10 different narrators, each with several parts through out, but Gord is distributing them between I think 4 or 5 of us. So it'll be good.
Now in total my roles include:
First Soprano(screeching a's for the win), Mary Ingram(speaking lines/solo), Small Group(6 part harmony with 6 other girls, and I'm on the low tenor line! lol, yay man voice!) and Narrator.
Yeah.
This will be fun :)

wonderland, dance, hp and other summery things

OK well I might as well start off with the pageant.
It was really crazy and a little streasfull but overall a really good experience I'm thinking. On the first day I had to get all dressed up for the interview with my little suit and skirt that my mommy bought me and all fancy and everything. I don't think the interview went too badly concidering I've never been in that kind of situation before. But then after that we had the opening number rehersal for the show on the next day (it was to Beautiful People from Burlesque, we should watch that movie btw, it's kind of amazing<3) and Jerard (the graduate from NBS judge) choreographed it and it was like all kicks for the most part but really fun. Then for the next day we had all of the audition classes and the ballet on with Jerard went really well but the jazz and lyrical auditions were so intense! The judge Breana did both of those auditions but they were really challenging for several reasons: 1) she couldn't demonstrate what she wanted us to do very well because she had a minor concussion from a head injury during a show she was in 2) both combos were really, really fast 3) they were really long and we only had like half an hour to learn them, and yeah it was just really hard. But after that it was good :) we finished the opening number which was really fun (although still hard work) and then we had the show! It was so good! The girl who won was so nice! Shes so good!

This week has been amazing!! Monday, hp 1+2 with Rachel. Tuesday I hung out with Kelton and went to dance :) Dance was pretty good other than the fact that I pulled both of my hamstrings and they're only just getting back to normal:/ also, the combo for lyrical that we did was super easy especially after having just done the pageant with all the crazy fast choro... every aspect of it was super simple. Wednesday was wonderland with Rachel! It was so awesome! I got a seasons pass so we have to go a lot this summer:D Then thursday was hp 3,4,5,6+ 7a with Rachel again which was awesome again, then Friday!!!!!!!! First me, my mom and Kaya all went shopping at conostoga and I bought a bunch of cloths :D lol And then the last harry potter movie!!!! It was amazing omg I`m so in love with it!!! Then Satureday me and my mom went to pinehurst with Katlin and famjam which was fun, then later I hung out with Kelton and some other people from school. Then today me and Katlin went swimming and obvi tanning/burning (for me) lol Tomorrow I`m so excited cause my famjam is going to the beach for the first time this year!! (like greatlake beach) and yeah! I`m being mature and everything cause I said I would help my mom make food for it :P

Well thats all for now :P We need to hang out all five of us soon!! Oh and I turn 16 in 8 days :O!!!!

What a wonderful fail!

Those few spaces are because i'm not sure how to say hello after so long... so there it is ;P
Would you like to hear about my first car accident?
I thought so.

Pingping and i were doing a G2 exam simulation and at the very end i drove over this huge curb while entering a parkinglot to coffeetime. What a win! :P
No damage to the car, but the noises it made were quite frightening and sure got my adrenaline pumping. So yeah, two days after i passed the G2 test lol. Thanks for letting me borrow your car katlin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (i know i've said it a million times, but seriously ;D) So after i passed pingping and i went to pinehurst :) of course i drove :P after a few minutes of arguing lol.

Basically since then i've worked everyday, including tomorrow, but i get the car tomorrow :D :D

So this is completely irrelevant but i made iced peppermint peach tea last night and am now going to indulge myself, all hail Monika! (summer is also worth hailing....)

Ciao ciao for now :)<3

my week in a nutshell

Well, this week really didn't go as planned. But I guess that's okay with me. It was a fun one, despite everything I missed out on.

Monday we didn't end up going rock climbing, so I was not too pleased about that. Tuesday I got my gym membership (yay!) and went to Em's for a swim. That was really nice, I've missed her SO ridiculously much <3 We ate delicious BBQed pizza and ice cream sandwitches and lounged in her pool all afternoon. Can I just do that forever please?

That night at coaching was not so great, I had a lot of kids all to myself at a lot of different levels... A challenge for sure. But on top of that, other coaches were being huge jerks. Coming over and standing there, watching me coach and critisizing everything is NOT helping. If you don't like what I'm doing, TELL ME HOW TO FIX IT. Or maybe actually come coach a few kids yourself, since I have way too many to handle on my own.

So I was pissed that night. And not so pleased that I was missing out on wonderland.

BUT he made it up to me the next day by us all going to see Transformers 3 :D Which was SO good, in case you were wondering. Such a guys movie, but I wouldn't have wanted anything else when I went with them <3

Then today I had my first in-car training, which went pretty well. My instructor told me I did really well, and parking isn't as scary as I thought it would be :P

Now I'm coaching all afternoon/night, hopefully rock climbing tonight, and coaching tomorrow. Finally making some money to pay for all the outings with Josh and Alex :P

this is for you my love!

So basically this has been one of the best weeks of summer ever :)

I was part of the band for the menno youth gathering thingy.
WE WERE SOOOOO AWESOME!
Like really.
Not only was everyone involved super talented, but we had the best selection of instruments between the 9 of us.

Including:
Cello
Violin
Pop Bottle Bass (BEST THING EVER!!!! lol. Like really)
Melodica
Piano
Djembe(spelling?)
Drum Kit
EVERY KIND OF HAND HELD PERCUSSION EVER
Flute
Banjo
Trumpet
Trombone
Fanfare Trumpet
Penny whistle
MANY MANY MANY guitars
and VOICES!!!

We had every kind of musical style I can think of(except maybe screamo/rap...).

Some of my favourite musical highlights include:
Acacpella 4 part harmony between 9 people(SO GORGEOUS!!!!)
Impromtu drum circle/epic ad lib flute solo
Last minute guitar/flute duet. We slowed down some of most reflective music. And it was just a wonderful moment, making beautiful music with the lights barely there. It was like a magical dream. Yeah. i enjoyed it :)

There have been a few crazy/frustrating moments, but at least I got to go through those with some of my new favourite people. Some of which I may never see ever again... actually.
Brilliant idea. Imagonna invite the band over for a BBQ/bonfire!

There were definitely some challenges(example: having to choose music to fit a service... 10minutes before sound check). But it was so worth it.
I'm going to miss everyone so much!

I'd really appreciate if someone blogged...

you honestly have no idea how bored I am.

and how dumb my phone is being about blogging. like really. i cant make capital letters or correct anything. ugh.
someone text me or something. or blog. or give me some idea of what i can do.....

this is the worst week ever of summer. and I've had pretty bad ones. but this beats them all...
note to self, never take drivers ed or put kids in drivers ed EVER.

crazy fantastic day

Yesterday. Was. Awesome.
That's really all I have to say.

KIDDING.
I'll tell you all about it :P

So I got up, recovered from the weekend finally haha and went for a run, then my mom took me to get my FREE gym membership. I love free anything ;)
Then I biked to Savannah's to figure out some complications in her life ;) WHICH BTW I'm totally a genius. And I learned how to pre-order Harry Potter tickets! Although I'm not sure if that's a good idea because then I'll probably end up with 2 tickets and only one person to go.... lol.
But ya. Then Alex texted me about rock climbing and apparently we were going at 3 this week because that's when he finished work, so I biked home as fast as I absolutely could so I could be there for when Josh picked me up. Not so fun. I was dying and we weren't even climbing yet hahahaha.
Rock climbing was SO awesome though! I climbed both walls that I had trouble with the week before, and Alex taught me to belay so I took my test and now you guys can come with me :) Aw its so cute though, Alex still always belays for me even though we don't need him to anymore. But it makes me feel safer :) And then he can push me to really work as hard as I can and help me with my technique which is so nice :)
After that, instead of just bringing me home, Josh wanted to hang out so we all went out for dinner and they hit on the waitress and we read cheesy pickup lines off his iphone app. "Baby, are you a Snickers? Because you sure satisfy me ;)"
Those guys are actually SO funny. In a crazy, stupid-boy, I can do anything kind of way. I love them <3
Then we headed back to Joshie's place just to hang out and drink beer (well... that was the plan but just Josh drank) and they taught me to play Euker!! SO MUCH FUN. Except I totally made Alex and I lose lol... Oops. We stayed out way later than I probably should have, but it was honestly so much fun.
And it was so cute, Alex didn't drink so that he could drive me home even though I told him it was okay for me to call my dad. And he always waits to make sure I get in safe :)
It's honestly like having an awesome older brother.
And even though they're 22 and 24, I reeeeally love hanging out with those two.
They just always take care of me, and are easy to talk to and be open with.
Love my gym friends <3
