Hark How the Bells!

Christmas is SOOOOOO close :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

yayayay.

Jurors is over... which is sad, but funily enough, I don't feel sad yet.
Obviously it feels weird not seeing my fellow Jurors everyday, but it honestly doesn't feel like it's over.
We still have cast parties to look forward to, and hopefully friendships that we will keep :)

I throughly enjoyed skating with the jurors before shows, making homeschooled jokes and sharing our life stories.
It was an amazing weekend.
Bleeding everywhere wasn't really my favourite thing to do... but whatever. It was an experience, and worth it. My finger still hurts A LOT! Like yeah. It's FINALLY starting to scab... so it's like tight and painful. But whatever. If it leaves a scar, it'll have a pretty epic memory attached.

I'm having lots of fun getting ready for christmas :) I love this time of year!!!!!!!!

I finally started my own personal journal again, I've pulled out my guitar and have been working on writing a couple tunes here and there.
I'm also reading more again, and I've read the play that synchro is doing in the spring, and I think I really want to be a part of it. It's just a funny piece of really random fluff, but I think it would be fun! :D

ALSO, bought some new pants, which is nice because I like pants, and it has been a while.

ALSO I went out with a group of teen homeschoolers Monday evening, and made a couple new friends.
There are a few girls my age, and I really connected with one of them! She likes to write and we ate icecream together at the mall :)

Yay.
I am SO excited for the cast parties!!!!! Like did I mention HOW excited I am? SO EXCITED!!!!

carols anyone?

I really really badly want to sing christmas carols. A whole whack of them. And drink tea and play apples to apples and laugh and give someone a christmas hug and dress up in red and green and watch a good oldy.

My room is clean, I just finished, and the stove is working again and we have candles on our table, so now we just need to find a time when you loverlies can pop in :)

And I love Ella Fitzgerald. Random, but oh so true. I just found an amazing set of songs that she sings with Frank Sinatra...I think that she's one of the few who can match his voice "eye-to-eye" (haha voice to voice sounded too cheesy :P) and they just sound soooo beautiful together! The one song has 38 000 or so "listens" on youtube.

I plan to make it 40 000 over the next few days. I love Ella! I don't think any of the other "greats" seem to enjoy the music so purely for what it is. No big show or extravagant moves or speeches...just the music and Ella.

Tomorrow I am making christmas cards. Actually hopefully not just christmas cards. I plan to make so many cards no one would think I am anything but a homeschooler. I am going to card-it-out in my lil' ol' room until all my cravings to make them are satisfied.

Cards are perfect; they're just little, easily-gifted bits of art with a few words to push the message in the right direction. And I absolutely love getting them, so hopefully all those poor souls who are destined to be carded by me feel the same way :P

That goes for you too.

I'm ready for carols, I'm ready to card everyone I know, I'm ready to bake cookies, I'm ready to watch movies, I'm ready to build a long-overdue snowman, I'm ready to cozy up with my cat and a book and read it cover to cover, I'm ready to wear red earrings and green socks, I'm ready to listen for the snowflakes that fall so stealthily, I'm ready to have fun...so I think Christmas can just about start.

Never anyone mind about telling me anything, cause the bells have started in my head and they'll be ringing madly without pause until I have had a very good dose of Christmas <3 Bring on the 40+ list of Christmas movies!

pre-Christmas-ness

Hey Lovelies <3
It's been a while since I've blogged lol. I don't even know where to start...

Umm...kay. So. My part for Sears is stellar. Exactly what I wanted. And acting opposite the most talented and cutest guy in the school isn't half bad either :P
Also, I can't wait to say "FUCKING CUCUMBER SANDWHICHES" onstage lol.
Apparently our play is the only "R-rated" one... We're the ONLY group who swears and has mature content...awk lol.

Last night was perfect. <3
I picked up Gavin from his voice lesson at 4:30, and then we went for sushi at Ye's so that we'd be close to city hall for 12 Angry Jurors. The food was awesome like always, especially the miso soup lol. It was nice to catch up and share all the vegetarian stuff that I never think to order lol. Then we walked to city hall and walked in circles awkwardly because we were still super early and Saj wouldn't let us sit down....haha. So ya. The actual play itself was AWESOME. Congrats again Rachel. I'm super motivated for Sears now, and I LOVED the storyline SO much. Like...wow...awesome choice of play. I wish I could come see it again tonight! Lol. THEN after Rachel stopped bleeding all over the place we went for magic fries :D That was fun too, and afterwards the snow was drifting down and I was with 2 people I absolutely adore and it suddenly started to finally feel like Christmas time <3
I've been in a great mood since then lol. I feel all bubbly and happy :)

Also, Gavin sent me the MP3 links for KW Glee, which hasn't been bad for my mood either :P
I can't get enough of boys singing lol.

so angry, all the time

Jurors is going SO WELL!!!!
We've finally passed our speedbumps and now the whole cast is having a blast.
We are all super close now(this may have to do with the whole shared change room thing... yeah 13 teenagers all naked in City Hall in one room. Oh co-ed change rooms... how you bring people together :S)

I was SO happy to see Maya and Mosby yesterday <3 I love you girls :D
Hve fun being away from me Mo... and Maya, have fun being near me!!!!!!!

I'm excited for Katlin to see it tonight!!! (I'll actually get to say my iconic line!!!! I WILL NOT let someone skip over it... GRRRR!!!!!)

I'm loving my life.
Tomorrow I have a show and then I get to go to an ugly christmas sweater party for my friend's birthday :D SO HAPPY!!!!!

good thing Santa has "rain" deer :P

is anybody else soaking wet? haha, I am. And I'm sitting in the library almost steaming cause it's HOT in here. whew *

holy moly moly holy Charles Dickens was EPIC!!! hahaha, I haven't enjoyed something so much in forever :D You were splendid Rachel - you totally belong with those other incredible actors :) I loved how the choral parts were interwoven throughout the piece, it was so lovely. Boy, I think that must be the true test of acting abilities, to act without a set or costumes etc. It was amazing how strongly the audience connected with the performers. I loved being able to picture my own images during the reading, and the characters onstage provided the perfect basis for each audience member's imagination to run wild. <3 <3 <3

awww and I got to talk to Nika!! I haven't seen her in...ummm...6 years maybe? yeah. She's so awesome!! I had a great time catching up with her and we had some laughs about homeschooling XP Homeschooling rocks, naturally.

Weeeellll, this past week has been soooo great! Last Saturday I got to go see the National Ballet's premiere of a new production of Romeo and Juliet!!! I went with my parents and it was so uplifting to be back in the theatre...it was a gorgeous production, and I completely lost myself in it. I love it when that happens :)

Then this past Thursday I was at NBS to see their Parent's Night performance. They performed a choreography that I'd created this summer! Everybody looked so beautiful, they've all been working so hard and there's no feeling that matches the one when you're finally onstage. SOOOO fun to see them afterwards too - haha, my mom went to check out the new "Loblaws" a few streets away. Apparently it is fantastic! You can barely recall that it is a grocery store what with all of the artwork and great architecture and stuff. We should go X) And I want to come see you Mo!!! I wanted to come on Thursday, but it got kinda late and I know exams are coming. I'm sending you a huuuuge hug through the special hug lines :D

Yoga with Savannah yesterday was great too! I missed that feeling so much. I want to go super often over Christmas. And I have four pomegranates right now (badly coordinated shopping by me and my parents :P) so loads of antioxidants are ready to combat that heat!

I hope we'll see each other again real soon, I miss you girlies!

Ebenezzer!

Hey Lovlies!

These past few days have been so much fun :)
I'm loving being in Charles Dickens.
I'm sharing the stage with some of the finest actors in our region, and all of the country. It's a good feeling.

The fact that the two children who are at my lecturn are terrors is a bit of a down side... I mean they are cute and nice and whatever, but they FIDGET LIT CRAZY!!!! They do not stand still. Last night was better than the first night... but still pretty bad.
The boy was pulling the cast on his arm a part, ON STAGE! And just like dropping pieces of it every where. I don't even...
Whatever. They're kids. It's fine. Just frustrating and funny.

I'm singing at the Chritkindle Market this morning :) I'm excited. I love my choir.
