my sticky notes won't stick.

:/
do yours? I guess that's what I get for getting them from Dollarama. THey stick fine to paper, just not to vertical surfaces that are remotely wall or cabinet-like. haha, I have a whole wall of peeling blue notes...soooo helpful :)
So, today has felt random in an important sort of way. Wanna hear about some random events of importantness? Too late, the first one's already coming at ye, and a bit fast too - better open the window or it'll smack into it...:P (me thinks that comment was random enough to deserve qualification).
- random realization: I have a drawer for snacks and such in my room, and other than some tea (courtesy of Rachel and Penny <3) and honey, the rest is all nuts. 5 different versions of nuts...I haven't touched any all day - I'm sick of them. But don't tell them that, they're really very sweet, just a little overwhelming.
- ok, too random, moving on. I realized that in the span of one week, two of my sistars were in TO and I had super good experiences on both of those days!?! shmanks my girlies :)
- not so random but truly appreciated: I got a two letters from Didi, and both of them wished me an early b-day - I actually plumb forgot about it till you reminded me, thanks for that sis :)
- there were a couple of girls having a friendly 'discussion' about their top sort of guy, and I butted in and mentioned a few facts about my pen-pal dude Micah and I totally showed 'em down. OH YEAH! (give Micah's curly head a tousle for me, will ya? haha, those kids ROCK!)
- I ate shrimp for the second time ever today: correction, I ate one piece, decided it wasn't half as good as shrimp at Rachel's house, and my neighbour at the dinner table sampled the rest of mine ;) hey, I tried, really I did. (no visible legs by the way)
- I went to see a beautiful ballet yesterday evening, Onegin by name...went to bed at 12, woke up to the birds chirping at 7 this lovely morn...got lots done though :)
- I sewed my pointe shoes, much needed, drank 2 litres of water so far today (boo yeah!) and ate a chicken baguette for lunch :) if you girls come down you have to come to this restaurant called Ginger - so good, and really affordable. Plus you'll get to sample some of the Church St. culture...very, ummm, how to put it...unique.
- went shopping today and bought a gift for my classmate who shares the same birthday as me; got this AWESOME cookbook filled with funny anecdotes, a Ritter Sport chocolate bar (a must) and a cool candle holder that sticks right into a cake!
- I watched some Gilmour Girls episodes with my roomie, I have taken quite a liking to some shows :) actually, just that one, Happy Days and All Creatures Great and Small (oldies, both of them - whadda ya know)
yup. so feeling fairly unrandomized at this point. Oh, I also purchased some lovely envelopes today, so you won't be receiving my stapled/glued handmade creations any longer - thought I ought to spare you that hazard. Hope the letters reached ya'll by the way...
by the by, this blog has truly made many a day worthwhile...just feeling a little sentimental here. I guess it's allowed - last blog of my 17th. I only wish I was spending this birthday with you girls...I hope things go well this year, it has the potential to be great, but most realistically to be a year of change.
I love you girls so, so much (oh look, here comes a tear...count yourselves *splat* lucky) no really, I do, and I have this strange exciting feeling that the changes that come in the next while will actually bring us closer together. I just feel like you are the friends that will always stand by me no matter what soil I'm standing on, or even if I can't seem to maintain an upright position. So, here's to the five of us, arms linked, doubled over with laughter, and having a heck of an awesome time in the years to come. Love,
~Maya
