Yesterday I had a voice lesson.
It went SO well! I love voice lessons :)
Then I just stayed at her house after, because I was babysitting her kids, plus 2 more :P
The other family was stuck in traffic for a bit, but when they got there it was craziness.
The grown-ups were trying to get ready to leave, while they we trying to get the babies to bed, and I was playing with the 3 and 5-year-olds.
They only managed to get one baby to 'sleep'. I use that term loosely, because he wasn't doing any actual sleeping.
But the adults finally got out the door, so that was good. The baby who was "sleeping" didn't stop crying, so I went down to get him. Then I had to manage bed time/stories with all of them around me, the baby on my lap, and Sophie pulling everything down from the shelves...
Oh well.
There was a lot of commotion, but my goal was to get as many kids out of the picture as quickly as possible.
That sort of worked.
I put Sophie in her crib, and Loghan had his music on and light off. Aleena was in bed, so all I had left was the baby...
That didn't last too long. In a few minutes Lohgan came down to get a drink of water, but then he realized there was water in the upstairs sink... so he got some from there.
Then Aleena needed water, so I got her some. But by the time I got to her, she said she was fine because Lohgan shared with her :P
They all crawled back into bed, but in a few minutes Aleena came down to tell me she missed her mommy and daddy. Since it was HER home, I let her stay down with me, cause yeah, when you're little and not with your parents and it's bed time at someone else house... it understandable. But then Lohgan came down to let me know that he missed his parents too.
I told him he had been fine last time I was there, and that he should go back to bed. He said "Okay, good idea. I was just letting you know."
That sort of worked, cause he did come down a couple times to get his elephants, and to let me know how the whole bed time process was going for him :P
But pretty soon it was just the baby and the three-year-old.
I changed the baby's gross diaper, and then risked laying him back down. After a few tries I had SUCCESS!!!!
Then it was just Aleena and I.
Which was fine.
I asked her several times if she wanted to sleep, or felt tired at all.
But she didn't, so she just hung out with me until the parents came home.
It was one entertaining evening :)
I'm a pretty pro babysitter.
4 kids between the ages of 8months and 5years.
I'm hardcore :P
