a taste of summer

This weekend is teasing me... It's taunting me with what summer should feel like. Fresh food, warm weather, campfires and fireworks, road trips with the fam... Except for the fact that school is looming in the much to near future :(
Gahhh stress. So much to do, its hard to enjoy myself today :S I've got this massive physics project, worth 10% of our mark. And drama final is on WEDNESDAY (I'm in major panic mode about that!). And a physics test. And a chem one coming up too. Yay.
On Saturday the fam packed up the car and headed to South Hampton to visit some family friends (aka My dad's friend George and Nyell's friends Stew and Kevin). They moved up there a few years ago, and Nyell goes up to visit all the time, but I'd never been. THEIR PLACE WAS GORGEOUS. This big country home in the middle of nowhere, with a barn (turned into a music room) and a bunkie for the boys, on this lovely piece of land 5 minutes from the beach.
It reminded me so much of Kimbercote it was crazy.
I miss our childhood :(
Also, if we ever go again I want to bring one of you guys :) It was fun this weekend, with fireworks and ice cream and beachcombing, but it would have been better with a friend.
On another note, my dad is SUCH a hippie. I kinda forget about that until I see him with all his friends, and then I'm like ohhh yeahhhh, you guys are funny :P
