market, fishing and forwardness

On Saturday I went to the market with my dad and the kids.
We went to get some yummy apples so I wouldn't have to keep stealing them from Katlin's fridge.

After the market Katlin came fishing with me, the kids and my dad. That was an eventful trip... well more like, long, gross, and fishless.
My dad and Taja both caught a fish, but that was it. We kind of lost track of the time and we had to rush back so I would be able to get back in time for my audition.

Then yesterday I just invited myself over to Katlin's. Yeah, No need to invite me anymore. I'll just show up. No big deal. Oh well. It worked out.
I got to visit with Katlin, and she had an excuse to not do math homework.
See, I'm useful.

Today my on-line course started.
But my internet has been pretty inconsistant lately, so I wasn't really able to enjoy the live chat because I kept loosing connection.
Luckily I was able to listen to the recorded version for it later. Just the parts I need though, because most of it was pretty boring.
The teacher most explained how to install the programs and tools we needed, which was pretty straight forward.

I did my first assignment. Which was basically just figuring out how some of the tools we will be using work.
But as soon as I was going to send it in this evening, my Internet crashed again!
And then when I was back up I e-mailed to ask if the teacher had gotten it. And then it crashed once more before I even got a chance to send it.

Oh well.
I figured it out. It's all sent and now I know how to work most of the stuff.
The assignment was funny because she totally showed us how to do everything over the live chat. Like we didn't even have to figure out anything for ourselves. It was just, watch the chat, and copy exactly.

I just hope that the Internet doesn't give me grief tomorrow during the live chat again... I don't know how much more of this I can take.

(My Internet cut off again last night before I got to actually post this, so here it is now + some more to make my waiting worth while).

Yesterday I had my first lesson with my new piano teacher. I really liked it. It'll take a little while to get to know how we both work, but I think once we do it'll be great.
She has me working on all the Cmajor scales for grade 7 right now. Just the scales, not all the other triads, arpeggios and the like. Not yet any way. I'm also working on polishing a song I already know, and learning a new one too.
We'll see how that goes, if it's enough work, or too much, for a week.
I'm thinking I might be able to take on a bit more, but this is a comfortable start.

I also had my first flute lesson since my exam. That went pretty well. I have a lot of work to do it I want to get my grade 8 within the year.
I have some new scales to work on, and the pieces will be getting harder.
I'm working on a sonata and a study for next week. As well as all the crazy scales that I have to learn.
Wendy already knows how much I can work on, and she's not afraid to pile on more if she needs too.

I know the Glee secret my mom was hiding from me! I don't know if I should put it on-line before they announce the songs on Saturday.
But it involves me, and a song that we will be doing...
It's not nearly as thrilling as I expected.
We're not going to be on the actual show or anything ridiculous.
I wasn't even impressed when I found out, but it's growing one me...

I'll be sure to post it for you girls as soon as I can get my hands on a computer after the first rehearsal when they are going to announce all the songs.
