call me unpatriotic, but...

I think I'm against Remebrance Day.
Here's why:
1. If veterans did SO much for us, why do we only think about them for one day a year?
2. War is not about freedom. Canada never had to fight for it's freedom, we were given it. So how can we possibly understand the concept of freedom?
3. My speach/powerpoint that was supposed to be at the assembly was cut for being "not appropriate for Remembrance Day". It was about child soldiers, which relates pretty well in my opinion.
4. "Lest we forget" clearly hasn't applied to anyone who supports troops going into war NOW. We should have learned by now how horrible war is, and not keep paying for it.
Okay. Rant done for now.
